ABOUT ME

Hey folks. Thanks for checking out the page. I spend most of my time performing with several groups throughout the Bay Area. Most are a capella but I also perform with some jazz/rb/soul groups either singing or playing bass guitar. When I’m not performing, directing choirs, or traveling, I love to teach, doing assemblies and working in afterschool programs around the Bay. Several of my groups practice “edutainment”- A combination of education and entertainment, teaching children and adults about their self worth and value. Also, the history of the African-American culture and it’s contributions to society, especially thru music.

My music has blessed me with the opportunity to travel around the world to places like Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Holland, Sweden, France, England, Japan, Korea and Jamaica. I think i’ve been to about 45 or 46 out of 50 states. It’s been one of the greatest experiences of my life, meeting people from around the globe. I still love it here in Oakland….

I consider myself a versatile musician as I have dabbled in several different styles of music from traditional classical, modern classical, pop, soul, rock, jazz, hip hop, reggae, rock, world and broadway.  It’s really been a great ride! I’ve been a lead singer, done backgrounds vocals, played bass, drums, keyboards, percussion and trumpet in various bands over the years, done musicals and served as MD (musical director) of bands.  I’ve been involved in radio, television, film and done voice-over work. I know I am blessed. PEACE!

  1. My husband and I enjoyed your rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” at the A’s game on Thursday, and this morning I heard you on “West Coast Live” with the Cultural Heritage group. So this has been Bryan Dyer week! Keep up your great work. (Our daughters Ruth and Janet were in OYC with you— seems like yesterday.)

  2. Bryan. It was so good to see you at the NCRC concert Sat. like old times kicking it with you. One of the many stars in da fam. Much love to you!
